Colombia: In an area of ​​the US state of South Carolina, a heartbroken mother locked her baby in a car and set it on fire.

Calvin Ellis Watson, 23, of Columbia, South Carolina, locked his 14-month-old son in a car and set it on fire, police said.

Colombian police say the woman deliberately set the car on fire while her son was inside. Police arrested the woman, attempted murder, first and third degree arson, abuse, and physically assaulted the child. He was sent to jail on charges of causing grievous bodily harm.

According to police, the incident took place on Sunday afternoon, when four passersby saw the car on fire and immediately called 911 and helped to get the child out of the car. Police say the baby is badly burned and is in critical condition at a Georgia hospital.
