According to Global News, a citizen came to the Yang Jie Bridge on the river in Wuhan, China and jumped into the water in front of his dog to commit suicide.
According to the report, the faithful dog sat in the same place for four days waiting for its owner, during which the locals tried to chase him away but he did not move.
The picture shows the dog looking into the river and waiting for its owner to return.
According to police, the body of the man who jumped into the river was pulled out of the water after several hours of struggle but could not be identified.
Du Fan, director of an animal rights group in Wuhan, China, said the deceased was lucky to have a faithful dog waiting for its owner. He was taken into custody and transferred to an animal center.
