An Indian police officer has committed suicide in occupied Kashmir

An officer of the Indian Paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force :/CRPF/: committed suicide in Islamabad District in Occupied Kashmir today.



Assistant Sub-Inspector Fateh Singh shot himself with his service rifle on Tuesday morning. When Indian forces reached the area after hearing the sound of firing, the body of Fateh Singh was found in the blood. The Central Reserve Police Force confirmed the ASI's suicide in a statement, saying the motive for the suicide was not yet known.

The spokesman said there was no evidence that he had a corona infection. He said he was awaiting a test report. 

The spokesman said the officer who died was from Jaisalmer in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The incident brings to 450 the number of Indian military and police personnel who have committed suicide in occupied Kashmir since January 2007.
