ISLAMABAD: Foreign ministers of various countries, including Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Canadian Prime Minister, have expressed regret over the tragic incident in Karachi.


Tweeting on social networking site Twitter, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said that he shares the grief of the families of those killed in the plane crash, adding that the Afghan nation is with Pakistan on this occasion of grief.


In his condolence message, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "We are saddened by the loss of precious lives in the plane crash in Pakistan. We offer our condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured."


Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lamented the plane crash on a social networking site, saying: "The news we received from Pakistan this morning is shocking. The Canadian people will remember you in their prayers today.



In addition, the Foreign Ministers of Canada, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Sri Lanka contacted Shah Mehmood Qureshi by telephone and expressed their sorrow and grief over the plane crash.
