An American woman threw a 3-year-old child into a swimming pool.

In the United States a drunken woman grabbed a 3year old boy by the neck and threw him into a swimming pool. Fortunately the child survived.

The incident took place in St. Petersburg USA where the police arrested the woman on charges of child abuse.

Police say Ashton Hayden 33 was intoxicated when she took a 3 year old boy in her custody near a swimming pool.

According to police the boy told them that he could not swim after which the woman grabbed him by the neck and threw him into the swimming pool.

Medics also found nail marks on the baby's neck.

Police say the woman is from the US state of Pennsylvania who came to St. Petersburg for work. He did not cooperate with police during his detention.

Fortunately, the child survived the incident and is currently being treated at the hospital.
