MOSCOW: A young footballer was struck by lightning because of a chain around his neck.

According to Global News reports, the incident took place in Orekhozio, near the Russian capital Moscow, where lightning struck the footballer during training.

A young goalkeeper named Ivan Zaborshke was practicing separately from other players when he kicked a football and was struck by lightning because of the chain around his neck.

The 16 year old footballer chain was made of metal which caused him to be struck by lightning۔ the footballer fell to the ground and was immediately rushed to the hospital in critical condition where he is in a life and death struggle.

Doctors say the young man life is in danger due to lightning and he has slipped into a coma with signs of electric burns around his neck.

A friend of the footballer told the media that Ivan Zborschke's condition had improved and he regained consciousness but due to a severe concussion, he was in a coma again.
